You'll want to start purchasing new gear and equipment as soon as you can and the best way to do this is to explore as much of the reserve as possible.

If you go past an objective it will pop up to show you achieved it even if you don’t have it active.

You can just pull up as close as you can to them, then press E to report them. The warden will ask you complete favors as you roam around the Golden Ridge Reserve.

You don’t have to get out of a vehicle to complete reports.

There's no swimming in this game! If you go too far out in the water, you'll be told to turn back.

You'll only find there are some trails you'll need to get out of a vehicle to get to the top. But for most of these, you can drive a vehicle up them with no problem. If you drop into the water or don't land the jump, you'll respawn.

If you can land the car correctly, you can drive straight off of cliffs, which is sometimes handy when you want to take a shortcut. If you fall or jump too far, however, you'll respawn.

There's no fall damage! So you can jump straight down from a Lookout Tower without being harmed if you feel like it.

You'll want to scan the environment to discover other locations and earn XP and coins.

When you find a Lookout Tower, make sure you go all the way to the top.

Doing the above will also unlock plenty of XP and coins so you can get good equipment early on.

A good place to start is by completing The Golden Tour tutorial mission to at least unlock all four of the Outposts. Unlock as many Outposts, Points of Interest and Trailheads as you can, early on, to make fast travelling around the map easier.
